The board of the IAA Dutch Chapter consists of:
Willem-Albert began his career in 1998 in the media at the publisher VNU/Sanoma. After that, he worked on the agency-side at TBWA\ and at least 6 years as a Media Manager for Vodafone. Since 2014 he is back in the media as Creative Director at the Persgroep and runs the MediaLab, a department that assists clients with unique collaborations and business solutions. On the side Willem-Albert is very active within the communications industry, he speaks at events and writes columns. He is also active in several branch organisations, such as; GVR, IAB, MWG and IAA or as a member of industry awards juror-panels for the EFFIE, AMMA, Sponsorring and SAN.
Koen de Groot
Koen had extensive experience with the integration of digital marketing and different forms of communications. As a Managing Director for creative advertising agencies. After working at Red Urban for eight years, he started working for Selmore, Keplar Agency and is currently Managing Director at the agency Fel & Sumis Company. Within the Sumis Company he is responsible for innovation and intensifying the collaborations between the services. Previously, Koen was president of the board of VEA Evolve, an organization promoting interactivity and innovation.
Mariëlle has more than 17 years of experience on either advertisers- or agency-side. Since the beginning of 2015, she works a Head Brand and Communication at the SNS. Before this, she worked in similar roles at KPN, Aegon, TUI and Philips. Aside from her professional career, she is also active as juror president for the SAN Financial Awards. Mariëlle believes that good marketing communications starts with the right insights, strategic vision and making clear choices.
Board Member Finance
Jeanne Misteli has a long curriculum vitae in the media and advertising industry, in which you can find many of her capacities. With IAA Dutch Chapter, Jeanne is responsible for finances and supports the board with several secretarial duties. Aside from her work for the IAA, you will find her active for companies, such as; DMS, Outreach and JIC BRO. In her free time, she is a volunteer for the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital, loves to cook, teaches children, organizes events and caters parties. Board Member Communications
Already active as an IAA board member since 2015, Sabrina is responsible for the member-communication, content creation website, social media and the communication for events such as; ‘Koffiedik Kijken’ and the ‘Embassy of Dutch Creativity’ during Cannes Lions Festival. Currently, working as a freelancer with the focus on marketing strategies and implementation tactics for NGO’s, A-list brands and creative agencies. Specialized in digital communication strategies, content management and social media dialogue. Making brands more engaging through creative campaigns and hands-on solutions. Currently, working as an Account Director for Achtung mcgarrybowen. Joeri has extensive experience within (digital) agencies, such as TBWA\Neboko, Ogilvy & Mather, MediaMonks and the People's Valley. Experienced in account and project management in all areas of marketing communications. Result-oriented, a great relationship builder and problem solver. As a board member for the IAA Dutch Chapter Joeri is responsible for developing educational programs and organizing IAA’s Trailblazer event. And he is a member of the advisory board for the foundation ‘Trek Het Je Aan’, an initiative that sets out to create a better world t-shirt by t-shirt.
Also active from the Netherlands:
Kyra has been active with the board since 2010 and was the Dutch Chapter president for the last 4 years. She is still very active for the IAA Dutch Chapter, as the VP Area Director Europe. Combining her international ambitions and her ability to connect (young) professionals, she is still active on behalf of the IAA Dutch Chapter with the 'Embassy of Dutch Creativity'. Momentarily, Kyra works at the digital production agency Burst, where she is responsible for the international accounts. Before this she worked at the agencies; Dare to Difr, Bohemia Amsterdam, Isobar, Roorda and the Valley.
